Our waitress was very good and she gave us champagne and an appetiser on arrival and also explained the menu, that was already set for us as part of the premiere dining experience. We started with Duck "foie gras" terrine and honey onion marmalade.
We had a lovely white wine with our seared scallops, and red wine with the roast veal, truffled butter potatoes and peppered artichoke. Jess and Dylan were pretty impressed.
We had a lovely chocolate, cream and raspberry desert that was served in a chocolate egg. Guanaja chocolate sphere. Lift off the top and there it was, all followed by coffee and petit fours.
Needless to say we all enjoyed it, but we were all in a little pain from eating too much. The waiter surprised me with a meringue birthday cake and candle and they gathered round the table and sang happy birthday. I had tears in my eyes.
We took a taxi home, only e16. The Tower looked great all lit up like a big candle.
The menus from the night are our souvenir and I was even able to get the Chef to sign mine. We all took photos of each course. I felt very special.
