Jess has been in Paris, Lucerne, Munich and Hopfgarten

We spoke to Jess this morning 7am EST.

She has been on the Road to Athens for 5 days now and we have sort of been following her on FB and also the occasional "I miss you mum and dad" type emails.

She has so far had a quick 2 days in Paris seeing the sights and trying the local cuisine. She already has a nickname, its "The Shire". Yeh, original but what to expect with mostly Aussies in the group.

Jess, you are such a poser.

Anyway she is having fun, as you can see and bought some souvenirs in Paris as well. She went cycling around the city to the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre and visited the Notre Dame Cathedral where she lit a few candles for her grandfather.

She went over The Lovers Bridge, Pont des Arts with all the locks and also had escargot.

From the photos we have seen so far  from Lucerne in Switzerland and Munich, the scenery is beatiful and the weather looks great and the party has certainly started, and I think it peaked in Hopfgarten, Austria.

The Schnapps will get you every time, Jess.

In Hopfgarten, she even made a cocktail and they liked it so much it was on the menu the next night.

This one is apparently called the Dragons breath.

Jess has also been paragliding, whitewater rafting, and she has seen some beautiful parts of Germany, Switzerland and Austria so far. Her group sounds like a fun bunch and pretty even number of girls and boys.

The weather and scenery look great.

Jess was in Venice when she rang this morning.
She was a bit tired and looking forward to a quiet night after all the partying. We'll try and keep you up to date on the next few days in Italy.

The gondola ride in Venice of course, Florence and the absorbing history of Rome.

Lots of good stuff to come.
